Juan Pons, sponsored by Digital Photo Experience & Outdoor Photo Gear, is shooting waterfalls in Hanging Rock State Park, NC with a Gitzo Ocean Traveler tripod.

This is the first tripod specifically made to withstand harsh conditions. It is called the “Traveler” because it packs really well and is pretty lightweight. Also, the ball head is designed to be easily taken apart and cleaned in case you get sand in it.

Another great feature of the Ocean Traveler is that because it is made of carbon fiber, and carbon fiber doesn’t conduct heat very well, your hands don’t get cold holding the tripod. The G-Locks on the legs are designed to help clean debris, like sand, off the legs when they are pushed back into their retracted position.
